Scouts

In 2004 Peter was appointed the Chief Scout of the UK, ninth in line after Robert Baden Powell.

He helped lead the 28 million scouts from over 120 countries through the centenary of scouting in 2007. An honour and a pleasure especially when he made a film following a group of scouts to the peak of the Everest… He would have gone all the way if he could only he got a good acting job…that’s his lame excuse.

The leadership was passed to Bear Grylls and UK scouting continues to grow every year. At the end of his time he had a very nice oil painting done, a long journey from the shy cub scout on camp.
